Do you love the water and being outside? Are you looking for a way to exercise, be part of a team and community, and learn a new sport? Join us in 2023!

Rowing is a full-body, low-impact workout. It is a sport you can do your entire life. Learn to row with NSCR, or just Dip Your Toes in and experience what our amazing sport has to offer!

Best of all, no experience is necessary!

Learn To Row

Learn to Row with North Star Community Rowing. During the class you will learn the rowing stroke, and progress from a rowing machine to rowing in a boat! All abilities are welcome. Ages 14+.

Dip Your Toes

Have you ever wanted to try rowing, but don’t know if you want to commit to a full Learn to Row class? Dip Your Toes is the perfect opportunity for you. In this two-hour session, you will learn the basic rowing stroke on a rowing machine and then have the opportunity to get out on the water to take some strokes. All are welcome. No experience is necessary. Ages 14+.

Program Fees: Tiered fee schedule based on household income.

Team Building Opportunity!

Barge Experience

Do you want to try rowing with your friends or family? Are you looking for a team-building experience? Consider a Barge Experience with North Star Community Rowing!

In this two-hour rowing experience, you will learn how to row on rowing machines and then transition to rowing on the water in our barge. Our rowing barge is safe and stable and allows for seven people to row together. This experience teaches people the power of working together in a dynamic hands-on and fun environment. And you get to be outside, on the water, with amazing people! No prior rowing experience is needed.

Suggested donation: $150 per person
